DISCOVER THE TREASURES OF VENETO
Itinerary 8 days/7 nights – 4 nights in Treviso, 3 nights in Lake Garda area.
Day 1 Arrival of the guests in the area of Treviso, dinner and overnight.
Day 2 Treviso and a welcome with Prosecco.
Treviso is the soft flowing of the channels, ancient churches, painted architecture: its frescos inside the churches as well as the façades of the old buildings. You will visit the cathedral of San Liberale with the famous “Annunciation” painted by Tiziano. Our tour continues with the church of S. Francis, the “pescheria”, the Buranelli, the imposing Palazzo dei Trecento and Piazza dei Signori. In the afternoon we reach the Montello-region well known for the production of Prosecco. Visit and tasting in one of the most renowned Prosecco wineries. Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight.
Day 3 Venice, by train from Treviso
After Breakfast we’ll reach the train station of Treviso and in approx. 30 min arrive at Piazzale Roma, from there walking tour through Venice. The pulsating heart of the town is S. Marco Square, one of the most elegant squares in Europe and surrounded by masterpieces of art: the impressing bell tower and the basilica with its 5 portals and marble decorations, the clock tower and the Napoleonic section that houses the Correr Museum. Return by train to Treviso and to the hotel, dinner and overnight.
Day 4 Padova
Padova is one of the oldest and at the same time most dynamic cities in Italy. Its elegant city centre is rich in evidence of medieval art, but also of Renaissance and modern architecture. Here the visitor breathes a special and very typical mixture of modern life style and the intense atmosphere of ancient traditions. Dinner and overnight in hotel.
Day 5 Vicenza and Grappa tasting
The city boasts a great number of ancient Palazzi built between the 15th and the 18th century. The most famous f them were built by Andrea Palladio like the Palazzo Barbaran da Porto. The Villa la Rotonda and the Palladian Basilica are the two main masterpieces of Palladio. In 1994 Vicenza entered the list of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites while in 1996 where added also the Palladian Villas outside the town centre, so that it now received the official name “City of Palladio and the Palladian Villas of Veneto”. After this important visit the journey continues to Schiavon where we can’t miss an excellent Grappa from an original Grappa distillery. Dinner and overnigt in Lake Garda area or Verona
Day 6 Verona
An excursion to get to know a different aspect of the architectural and cultural beauties of one of the most famous European cities, Verona the city f Romeo and Juliet. Walking tour with an expert local guide to discover also the unknown corners of this enchanting town. Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight.
Day 7 South-east part of lake Garda and a glass of wine for a good conclusion.
We reach Sirmione for a pleasant walk through the old town and continue for Peschiera and Bardolino. Stop at an Olive oil museum as well as in the centre of Bardolino. We conclude the day and the tour in one of the numerous Wineries in the area with a good glass of wine. Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight.
